Service terms

These terms describe the EduConnect introduction model for learners, families and independent tutors.

Limited pilot

Learners and families can submit enquiries and tutors can apply. EduConnect does not currently process lead purchases or lesson payments through this website. Questions can be raised by emailing EduConnect.live@outlook.com or calling 0431 764 442.

1. The matching service

EduConnect collects tutoring criteria and may introduce an adult enquirer to up to three independent tutors who appear relevant. EduConnect may decide not to provide an introduction and does not guarantee that a suitable or available tutor will be found.

2. Independent tutors

Tutors are independent businesses or individuals. They are not employees, agents or contractors delivering tutoring on behalf of EduConnect. Tutors decide their own rates, availability, policies, teaching methods and whether to accept an enquiry.

Any tutoring contract is directly between the adult customer and the tutor. Lesson scheduling, payment, cancellations, refunds and disputes are handled between those parties.

3. Customer responsibilities

An adult must submit and manage an enquiry involving a student under 18. Before arranging lessons, the adult should speak with the tutor and independently assess identity, experience, qualifications, screening, suitability, rates, policies and supervision arrangements.

Customers should not rely on an introduction or a future verification label as a guarantee, endorsement or substitute for their own checks.

4. Tutor responsibilities

Tutors must provide truthful, current information; comply with applicable tax, consumer, child-safety and Working with Children requirements; contact enquirers only about the submitted tutoring request; and stop contact when asked.

A tutor must not claim to be employed, endorsed or guaranteed by EduConnect.

5. Tutor lead fees

EduConnect may offer an independent tutor the option to pay a clearly disclosed fee to unlock a customer introduction. The price and available lead summary will be shown before the tutor agrees to pay. There is no commission on tutoring fees and no recurring membership charge unless a tutor separately agrees to one.

Refund or replacement requests are assessed case by case, including whether the introduction materially matched the information shown before purchase and whether the supplied contact details were usable. Raise a request promptly by emailing EduConnect.live@outlook.com or calling 0431 764 442. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. No outcome guarantee

EduConnect does not guarantee response rates, bookings, tutor suitability, lesson quality, student progress, academic results, earnings or the accuracy of information supplied by another user.

7. Acceptable use

Users must not submit false information, scrape contact details, send spam, misuse a child’s information, interfere with the service or use an introduction for an unrelated purpose. EduConnect may refuse, suspend or remove access where it reasonably believes the service is being misused.

8. Liability and complaints

Questions, complaints and service issues can be raised by emailing EduConnect.live@outlook.com or calling 0431 764 442. EduConnect will consider each matter using the information available and applicable law. These terms do not limit any consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be limited.

General consumer guidance is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
